1. Service Description

PermitEasy provides:

  • Permit Checker: An information tool that helps determine whether your project requires a building permit in Toronto
  • Permit Application Service: We prepare and submit building permit applications on your behalf as your authorized agent
  • Educational Content: Guides and articles about Toronto building permits

2. Not Legal Advice

PermitEasy provides general information and permit filing services. We are not lawyers, architects, or licensed engineers. Our services do not constitute legal, architectural, or engineering advice. Always consult qualified professionals for specific project requirements.

3. Accuracy

We make every effort to provide accurate, up-to-date information based on the City of Toronto's published requirements and the Ontario Building Code. However, permit requirements can change. We recommend verifying critical information with the City of Toronto Building department.

4. Authorized Agent Services

When you use our permit application service:

  • You authorize us to act on your behalf by signing the Owner's Authorization form
  • The building permit is issued under your name as the property owner
  • You are responsible for ensuring all information provided is accurate
  • You remain responsible for complying with all permit conditions and inspection requirements

5. Refund Policy

  • Permit Checker subscriptions: Cancel anytime. No refunds for partial months.
  • Application packages: If your application is rejected due to an error on our part, we will refund your package fee in full. Rejections due to property-specific issues, incomplete owner-provided documents, or city policy changes are not eligible for refunds.

6. Payment

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated. Subscription plans renew automatically until cancelled.

7. Account Responsibilities

  • You must provide accurate information
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
  • You must not use the service for any unlawful purpose

8. Limitation of Liability

PermitEasy is not liable for permit delays, rejections by the City of Toronto, changes to municipal requirements, or any construction decisions made based on our information. Our maximum liability is limited to the fees you paid for the specific service in question.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
